Making a Difference
The Gainesville ISD Education Foundation awarded 53 Innovative Teaching Grants totaling more than $80,000 for the 2026-2027 school year, bringing its lifetime investment in Gainesville ISD classrooms to over $690,000. These grants fund creative educational resources and programs that empower teachers, enrich student learning, and support the district’s commitment to excellence in education.
The Gainesville ISD Education Foundation celebrated the GHS Class of 2026 Top 10% students at the annual Shining Stars Banquet, recognizing their academic achievements and the educators who helped shape their success. Each student selected a Distinguished Educator to honor, and together they shared heartfelt letters of gratitude highlighting the impact of meaningful teacher-student relationships.
The Gainesville ISD Education Foundation raises private funds throughout the year to support innovative programs, classroom resources, and educational opportunities that extend beyond traditional school funding. Through community-supported initiatives such as the annual Thanksgiving Pie Sale, Spring Plant Sale, sponsorships, and donations, the Foundation helps invest directly in the success of Gainesville ISD students and educators.
